Hi there,
The current version in use is 4.1.20 which does have one or two irritating bugs. Namely (for me) the stripping of trailing spaces from varchar fields.
It would also be nice to be able to use Stored Procedures, functions, triggers, oh... I could go on.
Are there any plans to upgrade?
I do realise it's not trivial on production systems! Shocked
Rob

As we do our server upgrade, we do plan on having the latest stable of MySQL, currently 5.0.24. This will be part of our server migration, as we dont plan on updating the current servers.

Thanks.

Good stuff! Not going to hold you to it, but any ideas on timescale? A week? A month? 3 months? 6 months? ......

Theres a couple of mitigation factors. We are working with a third party for the control panel, which is the glue to the whole system. Their latest product, which is the one we will use, is currently in beta. Its been in beta since july, and we expect one more beta cycle before release. The beta version is already installed on our servers, and is working very well.

Another factor is that your specific server is slated toward the end of the migratio process. We have other servers that are ahead in the queue, and we will only go server by server for this process.

As such, I expect that it would be about 3 months before your server is migrated, if the 3rd party vendor is able to release the software in the next month.

Thanks.
